Display of Processable Materials
The selection of materials directly affects the lifespan, accuracy and applicable scenarios of the molds. We offer a full range of material accessories, precisely meeting the different mold operating conditions and lifespan requirements! Here are the typical materials commonly used in the mold industry
Stainless Steel
Possesses excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and durability, as well as a good surface finish. Suitable for molds in the medical and food industries, high-volume injection molding, and aerospace and automotive components.
Carbide (Tungsten Steel)
Possesses extremely high hardness (HRA 88-93), wear resistance, and compressive strength, but is brittle and costly. Commonly used for making precision wear-resistant inserts, punches, guide bushings, guide pillar bushings, ejector pin tips, date stamps and character codes, etc., where extremely high service life is required.
High Wear-Resistant Steel
D2 (1.2379, Cr12Mo1V1): High-carbon, high-chromium cold work die steel. Possesses extremely high wear resistance and good hardenability, but relatively poor toughness. Commonly used for punches, dies, cutting edges, wear-resistant inserts, guide bushings, slide wear blocks, etc., requiring extremely high wear resistance.
High-Speed Steel
Universal high-speed steel. Possesses extremely high hardness (HRC 60-65), red hardness, and wear resistance, but has low toughness. Commonly used for making small-diameter ejector pins, ejector sleeve pins, slender cores, precision punches, wear-resistant inserts, etc., requiring high wear resistance and high compressive strength.
Bearing Steel
High-carbon chromium bearing steel. After quenching, it has high hardness (HRC 58-62), good wear resistance, and good dimensional stability. It is the most classic and commonly used material for making guide pillars and guide bushings. Often combined with surface treatments (such as hard chrome plating) to further improve wear resistance.
ABS
It has excellent impact resistance and molding properties, and is commonly used in household appliance shells and automotive parts.
The surface treatment of mold components is the core process for enhancing performance (such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, demolding ability, etc.) and prolonging the lifespan. We offer a variety of surface treatment services, and you can choose according to your needs:

What Our Customers Say?
Dongguan Hongxia's delivery efficiency is amazing! It took only 12 days from drawing confirmation to the delivery of 500 sets of precision shaft parts, and 100% passed the German TÜV test, and the quality far exceeded the industry standard.
Their technical team provides a disruptive solution! By optimizing the transmission structure, the equipment accuracy is improved by 40%, and the whole process is debugged on site, and the technical support is an industry benchmark.
US Customer: Automation equipment upgrade cooperation
After comparing 8 suppliers, Hongxia won with the ultimate cost-effectiveness of SUS304 stainless steel! 200,000 bracket orders with zero returns, the price is 25% lower than that of local manufacturers, but the quality is more stable.
Southeast Asian Customer: Bulk purchase of hardware products
NO! – No minimum quantity! We provides rapid prototypes and short to medium-run production machining services.
What general tolerances can you achieve?
General CNC Machining Tolerances on metal to +/- 0.005" (+/- 0.127 mm) following ISO 2768 unless otherwise specified. CNC Plastics and composites will be +/- 0.010”(+/- 0.254 mm).
What type of design files do you accept for quoting?
For the 3D drawing, we would prefer STEP, IGES, or X_T format. For the 2D drawing, we would prefer PDF format there are tolerances with the dimensions if possible.
What shall we do if we don't have drawings?
Please send your sample to our factory, then we can copy and provide you better solutions. lf send us pictures or drafts with dimensions(Length,Height, Width), CAD or 3D file will be made for you.
What precision tolerances can you achieve?
CNC Precision Machining Tolerances down to ±.0002" (0.005mm).We can manufacture and inspect to tight tolerances per your drawing specifications
Will my drawings be safe after sending them to you?
We will keep them well and won't release them to the third party without your permission.
